It truly was the beginning. Where musical borders were no longer seen as obstacles, and where composer arrangers who were once overlooked were wholeheartedly embraced. From the series, celebrated Brasilian composer/arranger was one of three, and now, we find the Timeless series traveling to Arthur’s home country in fitting fashion.
J.Rocc, Coleman and B+ will be in Sao Paulo from February 9-11th screening at the Espaco Unibanco de Cinema and then on the 16-18th at the Unibanco Arteplex Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro. Each film will be screened individually and also J.Rocc will have a chance to do his special Timeless Serato Mega-Mix. There will be Q&As each night with special friends dropping by to contribute.

2010 marks 50 years since the former Belgian colony of the Congo was granted independence. But the scenes of joy and celebration were short lived as the fledgling nation soon descended into a spiral of political violence and tribal conflict.

Mos Def en concert à Paris avec Jay Electronica le 20 avril à Paris au Cabaret Sauvage.
Je ne veux pas faire ma reloue, mais après avoir vu Jay Electronica en première parte de Mos Def au Nokia Theatre à NY, je ne suis vraiment pas convaincue des performances scéniques de l’actuel chéri et papa du dernier enfant de la Badu. J’espère qu’il sera plus en back up qu’en vraie première partie. Alors c’est cool, tout le monde y voit un génie de la prod, OK, mais sur scène, ce n’est pas au top, sérieusement. Quand vous avez une salle entière qui vous conspue, ça n’est jamais par hasard. Pire encore, quand le match se joue à domicile avec le soutien scénique de sa dulcinée.

Merci XL Recordings de nous mettre à dispo “I’m New Here” le nouvel album de Master GSH, à venir le 9 février prochain.
J’en profite pour annoncer qu’il sera en concert à Paris au New Morning pour 2 concerts le LUNDI 10 MAI à 19h30 et à 21h30. La billetterie n’est pas encore ouverte, mais il va falloir être aux aguets et au taquet, remember l’été dernier alors qu’il avait dû annuler sa venue pour défaut d’autorisation de sortie de territoire.
